Black Futsu - Seed Packet
A deep-orange, hazelnut-rich delight. A cousin of the butternut, these Japanese squash are a favourite with market gardeners for reliability, flavour, storage and uniqueness. Good resistance to cucumber beetles, producing a plethora of fruits through the drought and the beetles. They start out black (very dark green) and mature to orange when fully ripe. Any black fruit that has not turned a dusky orange by fall can be brought in to ripen indoors. Will keep for many months in storage.
Grown by Twisted Brook Farm, packaged by Annapolis Seeds.
