Late season variety; an albino version of the red currant. Yields high quantities of large white berries. Sweeter than the red currant. Best for fresh eating.
Ideal conditions for currants include: loamy or sandy soil as long as it is damp and has a pH of 6.0. Intolerant of drought but frost hardy. Plant 1.5-1.8 m apart. Fruits on new growth, so a heavy trim in fall promotes new growth and more fruiting.
