(Nicotiana rustica) - The story that came with these seeds, is that they were discovered in pottery sealed with pitch at a burial site near the Great Lakes. Amazingly, a few seeds still germinated. I've yet to find details to confirm their story, but in any case, this is a tobacco that's been grown in our region for many millennia! Beautiful plants with broad fuzzy leaves, quite distinct looking compared to commercial varieties. Mainly a ceremonial tobacco, this variety isn't commonly smoked. Grown and packaged by Annapolis Seeds.
