At Halifax Seed, we strive to ensure that the quality of each order meets your standards. Halifax Seed’s Happiness Guarantee ensures that you will be happy with your purchase, and if not, we’ll make it right.

FOR ONLINE ORDERS

We are happy to accept returns of unopened, unused product within 30 days from the time of receipt. Please contact us within 24 hours of receipt for assistance with damaged or defective product. Following approval, replacements for damaged or defective products will be sent at no extra charge. 

Please reach out to orders@halifaxseed.ca with your order number (WEB-000000), the reason for your return, and photos if possible. Shipping fees will apply. Approved refunds will be issued to the card used to place the original order.

We are unable to accept returns of product that has been removed from its packaging, damaged, exposed to extreme temperatures, or otherwise used. We are unable to accept returns for seed that has been stored improperly, exposed to liquid, or exposed to extreme temperatures. 

Seeds
Seeds are living items that can be affected by multiple variables. Halifax Seed guarantees that all seed surpasses the standards set out by the Canada Seeds Act and Regulations. Please understand that we cannot accept responsibility for the results of extreme weather or garden neglect.  If your seed packet contained too few seeds, please reach out to orders@halifaxseed.ca. Include your order number (WEB-000000), the variety of seed, and photos of the front and back of the packet if possible. 

Credit Card Privacy & Security
Halifax Seed does not store your credit card information on our site. All payments are handled by a secure processing company. Halifax Seed does not share or sell any customer information.

FOR IN STORE PURCHASES

We are happy to accept returns of select unopened, unused product within 30 days of the date on your receipt. Items must be undamaged and in original packaging. Open or used items may be returned due to manufacturing error or damage only. Receipt and original method of payment are required to issue a refund.

NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN:

• Beneficial insects, including:
  • Nematodes
  • Ladybugs

All products on this list are Final Sale. 

FOR GARDEN CENTRE PURCHASES

We are happy to provide a 1 Year Warranty on all hardy perennials, including shrubs, trees, flowers, rose bushes, and berry bushes, rated zone 4 or lower. Please return the plant and your original receipt and we will provide a replacement of equal value or a store credit.

For tender perrenials, rated zone 5 or higher, we offer a 90 Day Warranty. Please return the plant and your original receipt and we will provide a replacement of equal value or a store credit.
