Damaged Product

Please reach out within 24 hours of receipt to Include your order number (WEB-000000), a description of the damage, and photos if possible.


Seeds are living items that can be affected by multiple variables. Halifax Seed guarantees that all seed surpasses the standards set out by the Canada Seeds Act and Regulations. Please understand that we cannot accept responsibility for the results of extreme weather or garden neglect.  If your seed packet contained too few seeds, please reach out to Include your order number (WEB-000000), the variety of seed, and photos of the front and back of the packet if possible. 

Hard Goods

We are happy to accept returns of unopened, unused product within 30 days from the time of receipt. Please reach out to with your order number (WEB-000000), the reason for your return, and photos if possible. Shipping fees will apply. Approved refunds will be issued to the card used to place the original order. We are unable to accept returns of product that has been removed from its packaging or otherwise used. Please contact us immediately for assistance with damaged or defective product. Following approval, replacements for damaged or defective products will be sent at no extra charge.

Plant Material Return Policy

1 YEAR - potted shrubs, trees, perennials, roses, fruit trees and berry bushes (rated zone 4 and lower) 

90 DAYS – potted tender perennials, trees and shrubs (rated zone 5 and higher) 

No guarantee – Annual flowers, vegetable transplants, herbs, bare root fruit & veg, bulbs, tropical plants, cacti and succulents 

Receipt and dead plant must be presented for return policy to be valid.  Plant replacement or store credit will be granted.

Credit Card Privacy & Security

Halifax Seed does not store your credit card information on our site. All payments are handled by a secure processing company. Halifax Seed does not share or sell any customer information.
