Obsidiana produces traditional heart shaped Poblano/Ancho peppers with strong flavour. Poblano is the name of the fresh pepper, excellent for roasting, stuffing, or just eating raw. Ancho refers to peppers dried at the nearly-ripe stage, used in sauces and seasoning. Maturing dark green to red, Obsidiana is a versatile pepper that can be used fresh, in cooking, or even dried. Plants are high yielding, especially in hot weather, but they still set well in cooler seasons. They grow well in the garden or in containers.
