Oenothera biennis - A beautiful and useful native biennial, all parts of Evening Primrose are edible and the young leaves and shoots are especially good in salads. Produces a showy spike of fragrant yellow flowers in it's second year that will last for most of the summer, followed by a crop of seeds in the fall adored by birds and humans alike.
