Lettuce - Taiwanese Sword Choi (Seed)
aka A-Choy - Open heads of huge strapping sword-shaped leaves, which taper to a point. As salad lettuce, they have a similar crunch to romaine but more nutty in flavour. Uniquely delicious in stir-fries, which is how they're used in Taiwanese cuisine. Very hardy, they do well in both cold weather and summer heat.
