An annual variety that it is a prolific flowerer, producing masses of spiky bracts in a stunning metallic violet. It’s known for attracting masses of bees and butterflies and makes an excellent subject for a dry and sunny border. Allow some plants to self-sow to create drifts through borders. Height 50-90cm (20-36in).
