A florist's favourite ideal for free-draining borders, rock gardens and coastal gardens as well as the cut flower garden. From midsummer to early autumn, airy sprays of tiny lavender-purple flowers form a haze above a basal rosette of large, semi-evergreen leaves. Siberian statice makes an incredibly long-lasting cut flower, either fresh or dried, with the papery petals retaining their colour well. Drought and heat tolerant, this hardy perennial is easy to grow, low maintenance and loved by pollinators. Height and spread: 50cm (20in).
