Spotted Joe-Pye Weed (Seed)
Features rose-coloured flowers blooming on tall, strong stems that last for several weeks attracting dozens of butterfly species. A tall, quick-growing perennial great for around ponds or spots with poor drainage. Spotted Joe Pye grows best in moist organic soil but can adapt to dryer soil conditions. Will spread, caution should be used planting in small landscape situations. Deer resistant. Approx. 200 seeds per packet.
Cold, moist stratification required. Winter sow directly outside, or mix seeds with moist substrate (vermiculite, perlite or moss) and place in a plastic bag and refrigerate for 6-8 weeks. Sow seed at 1/8 inch depth. Do not let seedling dry out while it is establishing.
